Some of the features of the Yale lifting wedges include a revolving handle to aid horizontal or vertical spreading, and a removeable offset handle for improved access over the centre of mass.

Safety features such as increased step depth on upper steps, partially recessed coupler reducing coupler vulnerability and having no finger pinch-points.
